Reverse American Idol!

Tuesday January 24th @ 3PM

Love to sing and dance but can't carry a tune in a bucket or dance a step? Then Reverse American Idol is for you! This great program is your chance to shine. Sing and dance as crazily, badly, or hilariously as you want!

There will also be no winners, no losers, and, most importantly, no mean judges. Participants will receive free snacks and treats. Some musical inspiration will also be provided, in case teens have a little trouble getting into the Reverse American Idol spirit.

It's just about not taking yourself too seriously and having some fun. The event is a great opportunity for teens to get the New Year off to a fun start.

Some questions from the YA Crew and my answers:

1. Can we rap?
Uh, sure. As long as it's appropriate language. You can sing anything from "Mary Had a Little Lamb" to"Born This Way." It's up to you.

2. If we come, do we have to sing?
Nope. But, there will be treats and things just for participants. So, if you don't sing, you won't get them.

3. Will you video tape us singing?
Nope. I'm not that mean. I will probably take some pictures, like always. But, also like always, I won't tag you on Facebook.

4. What kinds of prizes will there be?
There won't be a winner to the competition, but I will probably have a couple door prizes that will be drawn from the Participants. I will also have a treat for everyone who participates and other snacks for anyone who comes.

5. How do I register?
You can sign up at the Registration desk or call the library at 330-343-6123. You CAN tell me that you're coming, but make sure I write it down.

I hope everyone can make it to this great event! I know we'll all have a blast!
