Teen Lock-In!

The Summer of the Teen Lock-In is just 2 weeks away!

Friday July 26 – Saturday July 27
6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Lock the doors and stay in the library all night! This event is open to teens entering grades 7 through 12. Registration begins July 1st and is limited to 12 teens. We will be playing group and board games, going on a scavenger hunt, enjoying pizza, making crafts, and much, much more! A complete agenda and packing list will be provided with each teen’s permission slip.
If you have not turned in your signed permission forms, please do so by Monday July 22nd. All 12 spots are currently filled, but we are taking an overflow list in case we have any cancellations OR if people do not turn in their forms. I will be letting everyone on the overflow list know whether or not they have a spot on Tuesday, July 23rd. If you have any questions, please email me at strausel@doverlibrary.org, or call the library at 330-343-6123 and ask for Liz.

Sharpie Tie Dye

Tuesday July 16th at 2:00 PM
Bring your own white T-shirt and use our colored permanent markers to create a masterpiece with this different tie dye technique! This event will be held outside*. Markers and directions will be provided by the library. Event is free and open to all teens. Call the library at 330-343-6123 to Register or for more information.
*In case of rain, event will be held on July 23rd
If you would like to bring in extra markers, you are more than welcome to do so! The library will have enough to go around, but variety is the spice of tie dye... Or, something like that. Most permanent markers will work with this technique, not just Sharpies. Stay tuned to this blog for the secrets to Sharpie Tie Dye after the event.
PS: Don't forget your shirts (or hats, bandannas, canvas shoes, etc.) to tie dye!
